This is my first time doing a topic, usually Sunny does them, so bear with me here. We shall be discussing jealousy. As always, please explain your answers, don't just say no or yes, say no or yes because etc.
First of all, what is jealousy?
-Wikipedia says:
Jealousy is an emotion and typically refers to the negative thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, and anxiety over an anticipated loss of something that the person values, such as a relationship, friendship, or love. Jealousy often consists of a combination of emotions such as anger, sadness, and disgust. It is not to be confused with envy.
-Dictionary.com says:
1. jealous resentment against a rival, a person enjoying success or advantage, etc., or against another's success or advantage itself.
2. mental uneasiness from suspicion or fear of rivalry, unfaithfulness, etc., as in love or aims.
3. vigilance in maintaining or guarding something.
Now that we have that established, what does the Bible say about it?
-Galatians 5:26 “Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.”
-Galatians 5:19-21 "Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."
-Psalm 37:1-3 "Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness."
So now we finally get down to the questions.
-is it ok to be jealous of someone?
-what's the difference between jealousy and envy?
-do you struggle with jealousy?
-how would you stop being jealous if you were and it was wrong?
-i know i gave the internet answers, but what do you think jealousy is?
-do you agree with the internet answers?

I'll give you the gist of what it says. The Bible clearly tells us that wanting people's accomplishments, things, relationships ect. is being worldly and not a Christ like quality (1 Corinthians 3:3)
When we're jealous, we're allowing our own desires to control us and thus preventing the Holy Spirit's work in us because we're so focused on what he/she has.
We're also supposed to be content with what we have b/c God tells us he will never forsake us (Hebrews 13:5)When we want other peoples things than we aren't being content.
